Hi, I'm Erica Langworthy!  I'm an award winning artist having worked for several entertainment entities including Viacom, WWE, and Rockstar Games, as well as working with independent directors and artists.

I enjoy working on a team of like-minded people or individually.  I also love taking on challenging and creative projects!  I work in many forms of traditional and digital art, in many genres.  I'm constantly learning new techniques and studying foundations like life drawing, design, and painting.

Professional Experience

 

 

3DPrintClean, New York City (January 2017 – May 2018)

 

Creative Director:

Create corporate id, branding, and develop visual language. Ensure brand control was consistently executed across all media platforms.

2D Design:

Design logos and icons using Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and Photoshop for print, web, and commercials. Designed collateral material for print including hand outs and brochures. Designed and wrote 65 page product manual. Designed and executed company website and store. Developed UX and write copy throughout website.  Designed apparel that was worn at sales events and trade shows.

Product Photography:

Shot and edited product photos for online store and marketing material using DSLR camera, Photoshop and After Effects.

 

3D Rendering:

Texture, light, and composite renders of CAD models for marketing and advertising using Maya and Keyshot Producer: Hire and coordinate production crew to shoot commercials for our products.

 

 

Rockstar Games, New York City (January 2011 – January 2017)

 

Senior Motion graphics/VFX artist:

Provide Motion graphics for in-game TV as well as TV and Web marketing campaigns using Adobe After Effects, Red Giant Suite, Practical FX footage, Photoshop, Maya, and Cinema 4D . Develop concepts that become content with in the in-game world, and opening studio logo animations that play as the game loads.

Concept Artist:

Design characters and spaces in various styles for in-game content using Photoshop, Maya, Flash, Harmony, and Cinema 4D.

 

2D Animation:

Cartoon style character and VFX animation utilizing Flash and traditional animation skills using Harmony and Flash.

 

2D and 3D Logo Design:

Design logos for in-game products from concept to final product using After effect, Maya ,or C4D.

 

3D Generalist: 

Model, light, texture, rig and animate Characters and graphics for multi-platform use (mobile devices, in-game content)

 

3D Modeling (Rapid Prototyping):  

Model characters using Maya for action figure rapid prototyping. 3D Printing (Consultant) Recommended hardware, software, print materials, and modeling practices to streamline 3D printing pipeline for Motion Capture facility.

3D Motion Graphics Artist

 

Concept Design:

Design themes for Pay-Per-View events, live shows, and DVD’s for SD and HD. 2D: Design Logos for wrestlers as well as show and brand concepts.

 

3D Generalist & Motion Graphics:

Model all elements within Maya with high production quality, while maintaining reasonable polygonal count and FX for rendering.  Use basic lighting system with in Mental Ray (Point, directional and spotlights).  Texture all modeled elements using Maya and Mental Ray in conjunction with custom painted textures and editing existing image maps.  Animate all elements with interpolated & key frame animation techniques and graph editor.  Using 3D elements to create various Motion Graphics for Pay per Views and Live shows. Design, animate and Composite show Opens, Animated Transitions, Animated Deko Elements, Animated Set Elements, and Animated Tron Loops.

 

Compositing/VFX:

Composite all layers from 3D project using Adobe After Effects CS4. Color correction including Levels (Gamma) and curves. Design and add VFX such as smoke, energy, explosions and camera shakes. Set Elements for live shows: Take all 3D elements and VFX and prep for 1024x768 work area for Hippo operator on the road.
